"When the student is ready, the teacher will appear ..."

Awhile back, some scientists chose student volunteers to wear some nifty glasses. The glass lenses inverted reality, turning the outside world upside down.

At first, the students were totally lost & disoriented. They stumbled around, bumped into furniture, walked into walls, fell flat on their faces. They were miserable because they KNEW reality, and their brains knew that what they were seeing was not reality. And their brains tried to compensate.

For awhile.

But after a few days, the students adjusted to this "new reality." Amazingly, by the end of the first week, they began to get along just fine in their distorted, upside-down world. After a month, the glasses no longer mattered. The students developed a new "normal." They could read and write. Walk & turn. No problem. They climbed stairs like a normal person ... even though they saw the stairs upside down!

So what does this have to do with the world of MLM network marketing?

This experiment shows how resilient we humans are. Our whole world can turn upside down, and we quickly adapt. That's good.

But Here's What's Not So Good

In this experiment, human perception changed, but the world's physical reality remained the same. And yet the students' upside-down perception of reality led them to change their thinking, their actions, their entire operatiing basis. Which they quickly did. It's just like the brainwashing you've heard about in POW camps throughout history, or the "in" language that cults use to separate their members from the public.

So the conclusion is that if someone pounds you with enough false data, such as:

• You can't do that!

• You're a loser!

• Don't be ridiculous. Don't even TRY that!

• Everybody's going to think you're weird!

• People won't like you!

... then you will adjust your life to this "data" ... and you will change the way you deal with life, to accomodate the data. Proof: have you ever heard any of these lines in your OWN head as you've worked at your network marketing business? Have any of these thoughts ever caused you to change what you do?

It doesn't matter how experienced or how smart or how sophisticated you are.

People believe they're safe when they have

• A clear view of life.
• A strong sense of right & wrong.
• Strongly held priorities & values.

But the truth is, ANYONE is susceptible. A sudden, overwhelming stream of distorted data can change your realities & your values. Result? You accept distortions as truth. Complete unreality starts to look right ... and THAT can ruin your future.

If you're struggling, not having the happiness & success you want in network marketing or in your personal life, then it's safe to say you put a pair of these "upside-down" glasses on years ago. You've been brainwashed. A big part of your self-concept is based on distorted thinking.

You've bought into a bunch of false data about who you are and who you aren't. You're navigating in an upside-down world, but you've been doing it for so long that it looks perfectly normal. You have let YOU tell yourself that you're a loser, and it's just not true.

So now you KNOW better. It's time to stop the charade.
